If you're here you probably know what Play By Post is, but in case you don't here's a quick rundown. There are two basic styles of play by post the first and most common is Character PBP. In Character PBP some one makes a story and is the Game Master in most cases, then players sign up to take part and make a character just like table top role playing, you are then given an order in which each player posts, this is usually set by the GM. You play your character in the story and that's basically it. The second type is Creative Writing PBP. In this style you don't play a specific character but add to the story that a person has started, you can add character and plot but the whole thing should be cohesive, an example of this kind of thread can be found here started by linkage, generally there are no rules other than what the person starting the thread start but it's polite to not post twice in succession and to wait for some one else to post before you post again. So there ya go, if you have any suggestions for other guidelines or types pf PBP Private message a moderator to let us know. Also you will notice a sub board called Out Of Character this is a place to post any out of character stuff that is relevant to the PBP. Please not that Play By Post allows coarse lanuage, this is a natural by product of geting into character and such, as a result any PBP in which language will be allowed will have an (R) placed beside it to warn players.
